The week of Thanksgiving is looking like a chilly one.  Cold air will produce heavy snow from the Upper Midwest to the interior Northeast and travel delays are expected. Three different weather systems are being watched that have potential to impact travel for the week of Thanksgiving.

Weather patterns are giving mixed signals as to whether the storm will bring rain and snow during the transition to the cold weather.

The cold air is likely to pass over the somewhat warm waters, triggering clouds to form and deposit heavy snow along the  shoreline and miles inland.

An arctic cold front will hit the Midwest and East late Monday through next Wednesday. Bitter cold winds and lake-effect snow in the Great Lakes snowbelts could produce several feet of snow.
