United Airlines, Southwest Airlines and American Airlines are in the process of issuing waivers to passengers with flights booked to or from Las Vegas between October 2 and October 13. This allows passengers the ability to reschedule without a fee. The waiver extends until Oct. 6.
A statement was released by Southwest that stated “Our Southwest hearts are with everyone affected by the tragedy in Las Vegas. While we are not currently experiencing any operational impact at McCarran, we are allowing customers traveling to and from Las Vegas on Oct. 2 to adjust their travel plans without additional costs.”
On Sunday, a Las Vegas man carried out what is now one of the deadliest mass shootings in United States history. The gunman opened fire on concertgoers, killing 58 and injuring hundreds more.
