Detroit’s Metro Airport is a hub for Delta Airlines.

Now it is home to another Delta brand — the first Delta hotel in Michigan and one of only 14 in the country.

The Delta Hotels Detroit Metro Airport, which officially opened on Friday, is located less than two miles from Metro Airport.

The 271-room hotel features amenities such as a complimentary shuttle service to the airport, an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, dining services and a 24-hour fitness center. There’s also free parking for overnight guests and access to I-94.

Two restaurants are located inside the hotel – mETRo pOlis, a bar  featuring modern American cuisine, and Jyllian’s Bakery, which is open in the mornings for breakfast and coffee.
